Sucker Creek

Sucker Creek is a tributary of Alexander Creek. One can only reach it on foot from a lake in ca. 25 minutes. It is a small water with many pools, in which the Silver Salmon live in August.
Sucker Creek has its source in Sucker Lake and empties ca. 10 miles southwest into Alexander Creek. The Rainbow Trout follow the King Salmon in June into the spawning area (the King Salmon spawning area is not open for fishing) to feed upon their eggs. One can therefore catch Rainbow Trout from June throughout the whole summer (only catch and release). The largest specimen in past years – 57 cm.
An interesting neighboring stream to Sucker Creek is Wolverine Creek. Local examples such as Rainbow Trout and Artic Grayling are found here in respectable numbers.
Occasionally brown and black bears also fish there; we have even sighted wolves. Sucker and Wolverine Creeks are both recommended for more experienced fishermen. Placing casts between trees is a must. Sucker and Wolverine Creeks lie about 20 miles southeast, about 15 minutes by pontoon plane.

They are a further secret tip – so to say, no other fishermen!
