Lake Creek has its source in Chelatna Lake and flows about 60 miles further down into the Yentna River.
From the end of May to the end of August a large number of all five Pacific Salmon sorts travel up-river. The same as the Talachulitna River, Lake Creek is one of the most productive salmon waters in south central Alaska: Native fish such as the Rainbow Trout and Artic Grayling are also represented.
Lake Creek is found ca.12 miles northeast of the Lodge, thus reachable by pontoon plane in ca. 7 minutes. For a change of pace, we fish the confluence area in the Yentna River with jet-boats or from the shore.
It should be noted, however, that one is not necessarily alone here. There are also other lodges in the vicinity.
